The Executive Committee of HUSTA elected the position of Vice President for the 2018-2025 term

On the afternoon of September 5, 2023, Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations (HUSTA) held an extended Executive Committee meeting for the first six months of 2023 to conduct supplementary elections for the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Executive Committee for the term 2018-2025, as well as to review the activities of the first six months and plan for the remaining six months of 2023.

The conference was attended by all members of the Executive Committee of the 5th term, 2018-2025, the chairpersons of member associations, and the directors of affiliated units.

At the conference, Dr. Ho Duc Thai Hoang – Chairman of HUSTA – announced the decisions to introduce the supplementary members of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Permanent Committee of HUSTA for the term 2018-2025. Accordingly, Mr. Tran Nhu Dang Tuyen, Deputy Head of the Office of Internal Affairs, and Mr. Dang Thanh Phu, Director of the Foreign Affairs Service Center, were assigned to work at HUSTA from September 5, 2023, and were also introduced for election to the position of Vice Chairman of HUSTA for the term 2018-2025. Associate Professor Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Director of Hue University, and Mr. Nguyen Kim Tung, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department, were also introduced for election to the position of Vice Chairman cum concurrently. Ms. Dang Phuoc Cam Lai, Head of the HUSTA’s Office, was elected to the position of Secretary-General.

At this conference, HUSTA also reported on some outstanding activities in the first 6 months of 2023 and outlined its activities for the remaining months of 2023. Additionally, HUSTA announced the decision to admit the new member association, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Family Doctors Association, and introduced a newly established affiliated unit, the Community Livelihood Institute, bringing the total number of member associations to 51 and the total number of affiliated scientific and technological units to 9, along with 1 Club. Finally, HUSTA announced commendation decisions for the outstanding work in 2022, presented by the Provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, to outstanding groups and individuals.
