THE IMPACT OF ONLINE WORLD ON THE ORIENTATION OF STUDENTS’ LIVING VALUES AT HUE UNIVERSITY

The study was conducted on 706 students at Hue University of Education, Hue University of Science, Hue University of Foreign Languages and Hue University of Economics. Results were collected based on the following methods: theoretical research, survey, interviewing and statistics.

Data have shown the prevalence, means, location and the purposes of joining the online world among students. Different experience on online world and its impact on students’ living values were also explored on three aspects: cognition, attitude and behaviour. Findings revealed that there were differences by gender, grade and purposes in joining online world.

This study provides essential information for further studies on living values orientation among students.In which, especially the theoretical system and research tools have been developed. – Research results can be applied in the development and implementation of programs on life value education for university students. – Hue University students can use this research result when participating in interacting with the online world. – Universities can apply research-based methods to manage and direct students to build a system of life values when participating in the online world.
