On the morning of May 17, the Organizing Committee of the 19th Hue City Creative Competition for Children and Youth solemnly held the Closing and Awards Ceremony for the 2026 contest. Attending the event were distinguished city leaders, including Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City; Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council; and Dr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City.

In 2026, the 19th edition of the Competition marked a remarkable advancement in both scale and quality, attracting more than 1,000 grassroots-level projects that underwent selection rounds at schools and wards/communes before advancing to the city-level competition. By 5:00 p.m. on March 31, 2026, the City-level Organizing Committee had received 297 registered entries from 39 wards and communes, high schools, continuing education and vocational training centers, and non-public educational institutions across the city.
The entries were distributed across five categories:
- Learning Tools (98 projects, including 55 projects applying digital transformation solutions);
- Information Technology Software (45 projects);
- Environmentally Friendly Products (58 projects);
- Household Tools and Children’s Toys (33 projects);
- Technical Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation, Environmental Protection, and Economic Development (63 projects).
The judging panel conducted the evaluation process with fairness and transparency, and the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 88 prizes, including 6 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes, 13 Third Prizes, 29 Consolation Prizes, and 33 Creative Potential Awards sponsored by organizations and donors.
Among the winning entries, primary school students accounted for 30 projects (34.1%); secondary school students, 34 projects (38.6%); high school students, 23 projects (26.2%); and continuing education and vocational training centers, 1 project (1.1%). Notably, projects from all 39 wards and communes participating in the Competition received awards.
These achievements reflect strong collaboration between local authorities and schools, dedicated teacher support, and students’ enthusiasm for creativity, science, and innovation.
Over the course of 19 editions, the Competition has become a meaningful platform for encouraging creativity and innovation among children and youth, helping students broaden their knowledge, develop creative thinking skills, and nurture their aspirations of creating useful solutions for the future.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee also officially launched the 20th edition of the Competition for 2027. With a renewed vision, the Competition aims to further promote the spirit of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, reflecting the creativity and aspirations of the city’s young generation.
