The Closing Ceremony and Awarding Prizes for the students with 69 outstanding topics out of the 164 topics competing in this year’s Contest were held solemnly on May 20, 2023, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School by the Organizing Committee for the 16th Thua Thien Hue Province’s Creativity Contest for Youth and Children, 2023.

This year, 164 topics were chosen from nine districts, towns, cities, and high schools to compete in the provincial contest. There were five different contest categories: school supplies (38 topics), computer software (16 topics), environmentally friendly products (42 topics), household tools and children’s toys (27 topics), and solutions for environmental protection, response to climate change, and economic development (41 topics).
69 authors and groups of authors with outstanding topics received awards from the Organizing Committee at the ceremony, including: 1 First Prize, 7 Second Prizes, 14 Third Prizes, and 47 Consolation Prizes. The group of authors Pham Tran Phuong Anh and Nguyen Dang Khoa from Tran Phu Secondary School in Hue city won First Prize this year with the topic “Test antibacterial and antifungal properties in Terminalia Catappa leaf extract and produce vegetable liquid preservatives and foot soak bags”.

Also on this occasion, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho awarded tablets as gifts to the best authors in each of the contest’s 05 categories.

The Organizing Committee additionally commended and presented certificates of recognition to 05 collectives and 05 individuals who excelled in the implementation and promotion of the Contest.

Following the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony, the Organizing Committee formally announced the 17th Youth and Children Creative Contest of Thua Thien Hue Province, 2024, and called for the participation and active response of numerous Youth and children to create a movement to emulate creativity in science and technology, support them in fostering creative thinking, and constantly study in order to dedicate themselves to a better future.
