164 TOPICS WERE ATTENDED AT THE 16TH THUA THIEN HUE PROVINCE’S CREATIVITY CONTEST FOR YOUTH AND CHILDREN, 2023

On the morning of April 15, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Organizing Committee of the Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest held the opening ceremony for the 16th Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest of Thua Thien Hue province, 2023. Attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho, leaders of departments and a large number of teachers and students.

The Youth and Children’s Creativity Contest in Thua Thien Hue province is organized annually by the Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science and Technology and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to encourage young people’s imaginative thinking and to awaken their potential; and at the same time helping them cultivate knowledge, practice creative skills, and build  the Dream to become an inventor in the future.

164 typical  topics were chosen and attended to this contest.

The Organizing Committee has established 5 examination committees, including: Study materials (38 topics); Computer softwares (16 topics); Environmentally friendly products (42 topics); Household tools and children’s toys (27 topics); Solutions for environmental protection, response to climate change and economic development (41 topics).

The organizers’ view is that these are typical topics and the outcomes of the investigation and imagination of kids and teenagers in the province. The majority of their contest entries  have broad practical relevance.

This is the 16th contest for students in the province with 1,428 topics. Many projects have won national and international awards.  The contest has developed into a helpful activity for youth and opens up a new teaching style; learning activities in schools must be connected to reality, research, and creativity, assisting students in becoming familiar with the methods and thoughts of scientists.
