Facing new situation of the COVID-19 epidemic in Vietnam and around the world; in order to help the people in the province to fully grasp the information and recommendations on disease prevention and control from the Government, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control; People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, Steering Committee for prevention and control of acute respiratory diseases caused by new strain of Corona virus (nCov) of Thua Thien Hue province recommends to people in the province to use Health declaration apps to get the fastest support from health authorities.
Previously, on March 9, 2020, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the Ministry of Health launched two applications: NCOVI application for Vietnamese people and Vietnam Health Declaration application for people entring into Vietnam. The indications on the two applications are the official information of the State on the situation of the disease, the instructions of the State, of the health authorities in different situations of the epidemic.
Accordingly, on 11/3/2020, the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, the Steering Committee for prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus (nCov) in Thua Thien Hue province has issued a document (Official Dispatch) No. 1848 / UBND-CT) requests Departments, committees, branches, People’s Committees of districts, towns and Hue city to direct related agencies, units and departments to disseminate and guide all officials, employees know and download the NCOVI Application with the purpose of providing two-way information between the people and the health authorities in order to jointly combat the n-Covid19 epidemic in the province. The provincial People’s Committee also requested Telecommunications enterprises to support and send messages to mobile subscribers operating in the province with the content: “Request the subscriber to download the NCOVI application at address https://ncovi.vnpt.vn/ to get the fastest support from the health agency ”. Message time: 01 time on 12/3/2020. Request cable TV enterprises to run propaganda words with the following content: “Please ask people to download the NCOVI epidemic health declaration Application at https://ncovi.vnpt.vn/ to be able to get the fastest support from the health authority ”.

In order to contribute to the prevention and control of COVID-19’s disease, the provincial People’s Committee calls on people to be very self-conscious and responsible not only for their own health but also for the whole family and the community. The early and truthful notification will help the authorities quarantine and promptly outbreak the epidemic, avoiding spread in the community.
NCOVI application (researched and developed by VNPT Group and major ICT companies in Vietnam) is recommended by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Information and Communications to provide information to support the health sector can be pay attention to cases ensuring active prevention. The application has many functions such as: function of reporting risk factors (for people who come from epidemic areas, have contact with infected or suspected patients, helping them to receive timely assistance from health agencies. ); universal health notification function (for people to register their own health information and their family members’ health with the health agency). There is also a health monitoring function, a function that reflects information (allows users to report to suspected authorities the need to monitor disease), and a warning function for epidemic areas.
