The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony for the 12th Thua Thien Hue Provincial Technical Innovation Contest, 2022, took place on November 15, 2022, in Lecture Hall I of Hue University’s University of Education. This event was organized by the Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations in cooperation with Hue University, the Confederation of Labor, the Department of Science and Technology, and related units. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; departments, branches, and unions; districts, towns, and cities; universities, colleges, enterprises as well as the authors won the 12th Thua Thien Hue Provincial Technical Innovation Contest, 2022.
85 themes have registered to compete in the 12th Contest, 2022. Many of these topics are highly valued in practice and have been invested with great attention and high quality. The participants range from common workers like mechanics, government employees, business owners, etc. to eminent professors, and the topics covered by the project are both national and international and have been put into practice. The project has attracted the participation of numerous agencies and units throughout the province, and many of these units have actively implemented and attracted numerous participating topics.
The Organizing Committee decided to award authors and groups of authors of 60 winning topics with 04 First prizes, 08 Second prizes, 15 Third prizes, and 33 Consolation prizes at the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the 12th Technical Innovation Contest in 2022.
The Organizing Committee also gave certificates of honor to five collectives and five individuals who had excellent achievements in propaganda, dissemination, and organization of the 12th Contest, in 2022.
This year, the First Prize was given to four typical subjects, including:
- “Application of human sperm cryopreservation for infertility treatments” of the group of authors A/Prof. Dr. Le Minh Tam; Nguyen Van Trung, MSc; Nguyen Thi Thai Thanh, MSc; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy; Prof. Dr. Cao Ngoc Thanh – University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.
- “Research on genetic abnormalities in the prognosis of acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at Hue Pediatric Center – Hue Central Hospital” of the group of authors Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep; A/Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao; Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, MD, MSc; A/Prof. Dr. Phan Hung Viet; A/Prof. Dr. Bui Binh Bao Son; Pham Huu Tri, MD, MSc; Chau Van Ha, 2nd Degree Specialist; Nguyen Van Tuy, MD, MSc – Hue Central Hospital.
- “Local cultural education for preschool children in Thua Thien Hue province” of the group of authors Nguyen Thanh Tam, PhD; Ho Huu Nhat, PhD; Le Thi Nhung, MA; Le Van Huy, MA; Nguyen Thuy Nhung, MA – University of Education, Hue University.
- “Depressive disorders among adolescents in Hue city” of the group of authors Nguyen Thi Ngoc Be, PhD; A/Prof. Dr. Dau Minh Long; Ho Van Dung, PhD; Mai Thi Thanh Thuy, MA; Nguyen Thi Ha, MA; Nguyen Viet Dung, MA – University of Education, Hue University.
The Organizing Committee will officially launch the 13th Thua Thien Hue Provincial Technical Innovation Contest, 2023 right after the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony and will call for participation and an active response from units, organizations, and people inside and outside the province so that the Contest can become a meaningful and valuable activity in the development and application of science and technology, as well as actively participating in the building of the country.
