On July 25, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province organized a scientific workshop to promote the cultural role in building a new countryside in Thua Thien Hue province. Attending the meeting were representatives of departments, branches of the province, district and town and more than 100 representatives of cultural and information officials in the province.
Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang- Chairman of Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thua Thien Hue province delivered the opening speech.
Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang – Chairman of the Union said that in the construction of new rural areas, culture plays a very important role in improving the spiritual life of the people, preserving and promoting the national culture. Among the 19 national criterias for new rural construction, the cultural sector has two criterias that need to be achieved: Criteria 06 on cultural facilities and criteria 16 for culture aimed at perfecting the system. Center for culture – sports and cultural houses – Village sports area; improve the quality of cultural life of rural people.
Promoting the cultural role in new rural construction (NRS) in the implementation of cultural criteria No. 6 and 16 in the National Criteria for Building NRS has promoted the organic relationship between building cultural life and building New rural construction. The work of building a cultural life has contributed to raising the awareness and responsibility of the people in the community, the spiritual life of the people has been raised. Cultural institutions (at commune and village levels) are interested in, building and popularizing cultural, art and physical culture and sports activities thereby raising awareness of preserving cultural identity.
Workshop overview
At the workshop, in addition to the report submitted by the association, there were 4 presentations presented, namely:
1. Results and solutions to implement the Civil and Rural civilization lifestyle in Thua Thien Hue province in the past time of the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue province.
2. Results and solutions for managing cultural activities in new rural construction in Thua Thien Hue province by Thua Thien Hue Police .
3. The organization of mobilizing people to build cultural criteria in the cultural construction movement in Nam Dong district of Nam Dong district People’s Committee.
4. The organization of mobilizing people to implement cultural criteria in the cultural construction movement in Quang Dien district of Quang Dien district People’s Committee.
At the workshop, delegates also focused on discussing and proposing solutions to promote the role of cultural values, building urban and rural civilized lifestyle to contribute to new rural construction in Thua Thien Hue province.
The workshop is an opportunity for scientists, leaders and cultural managers to exchange information, exchange experiences, and propose solutions to perfect the basic and advanced institutions of cultural institutions. The amount of cultural life of rural people contributes to the successful implementation of the national target program on building a new countryside in a sustainable province.
