On the morning of May 26, 2020, Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations cooperated with Department of Science and Technology, Hue University, Labor Union, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Communist Youth Union and related units to organize the Implementation Conference of Thua Thien HueTenth Technology Innovation Competition, 2020.
Attending were Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and representatives of leaders of departments, agencies and UNI0Ns; districts, towns and cities; universities, colleges, businesses and authors participated and won prizes at the Thua Thien Hue Technology Innovation Competition.
The 10th Competition, in 2020, aims to promote the emulation movement of labor on scientific and technical creative work of the entire people, promote effectively the application of technical solutions in production and life that contributes to socio-economic development. Thereby recognizing and honoring the creation of work of the creators who have useful technical solutions, good initiatives that have been applied in the province and brought high socio-economic efficiency together with selecting works and typical solutions to participate in the 16th National Technical Innovation Contest (2020-2021) and the Vietnam Science and Technology Award in 2020.
There are 6 fields for registration of the competition as follows:
- Information technology, electronics and telecommunications;
- Mechanical automation, construction, transportation;
- Materials, chemicals, energy;
- Agriculture, forestry, fishery, natural resources and environment;
- Pharmacy; Education, training and other fields.
Each field has up to 01 First Prize; 02 second prizes; 02 Third prizes and 03 Consolation prizes.
The prize value for each First Prize is VND 20 million; second prize of VND 15 million; the third prize is 10 million VND and the Consolation prize is 05 million VND.
Deadline for submission is from the time of announcing the Regulations until 17:00 on August 31, 2020 (calculated by postmark).

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – Mr. Phan Thien Dinh emphasized that with the strengths of the education, healthcare and IT systems, in recent years, Thua Thien Hue province has promoted the application of information technology, science and technology and has brought many remarkable results. From here, affirms that science and technology achievements make an important contribution to the development and drive force of the economy as well as promote innovation and innovation startups. More and more businesses are interested in the application of science and technology, high technology in production, product development, increasing the competitiveness of products and goods.
