It is initially recorded a collection of samples of fauna and flora species (5,927 species) including: 3,222 species of Higher Plants (Magnoliophyta); 346 species of Big Mushroom; 42 species of Earthworms (Oligochaeta); 620 species of Insects; 42 Molluscs species; 66 species of Crustaceans; 582 Fish species; 69 species of Amphibians; 104 species of Reptiles; 407 Bird species and 143 Mammal species, with full morphological characteristics, photos, species code list, distribution areas, biological characteristics, ecological, economic, scientific values and conservation status of each species.

Morphological, biological, and ecological characteristics, distribution zones, images and attributes of each species were digitized according to individual codes and symbols for inclusion in a  map indicating geographical distributions (in the field) according to Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

The entire current status of biological resources and specimen records of each species distributed in Thua Thien Hue province have been evaluated to serve as a scientific basis for building a database of biological resources of the province. This included in the website in the form of Web-GIS in order to update, query, retrieve and share information for research work, management, conservation plans and sustainable development, aiming to contribute to socio-economic development of the local area.

All information of this Web-GIS website has been updated to the executive management portal of Thua Thien Hue province from the beginning of 2019.
