Vietnam has a long coastline and is located in areas with high rainfall, thus we should consider utilizing the energy taken from sea waves and rain to generate the electricity in the future. For that reason, the purpose of research is to study and promote a method to generate green power using the piezoelectric materials based on the direct piezoelectric effect: converting mechanical energy of the rain or sea waves to generate electricity.

After a period of study of the project, the inventor designed and assembled a complete power generator using the piezoelectric materials. Utilizing the mechanical forces including rain, waves and other mechanical forces, the device generates electricity to recharge the battery and light up the LEDs.

If large-scale piezoelectric panels can be manufactured with big area of the piezoelectric panels and soft piezoelectric materials, power generation is obviously possible in service of the livings, especially in remote island areas.
