The Beekeepers Association of Thua Thien Hue province has successfully organized the Congress for the term 2017 – 2022. At the Congress, the Association reviewed the results of the term 2012-2017, discussed the direction for the term 2017-2022; The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the new term with 9 members and elected Mr. Hoang Huu He to continue being the Chairman of the Association.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of HUSTA, Dr. Bui Thang gave flowers and appreciated the achievements of the Beekeepers Association in the recent term, noted the positive contributions of the Association to the overall achievements of HUSTA and the province’s new rural development program. Dr. Bui Thang suggested for the next term that the Association continue to promote organizational development, propagating knowledge to its members and to actively provide social criticism for social-economic development projects of the province in related fields.
With organizational development set as the main goal of the new term; the Association promotes the development of beekeeping area in community, especially in hilly areas, promote beekeeping at household level, expand potential areas and maintain the number of bee colony, specifically: develop, expand bee colony in potential areas, setting the goal to increase colony size in the province to 7,000 – 7,500 colonies by the end of the term (2022), with 100% pure honey; open a new branch of the association. To receive 10-15 new members. With that goal, on behalf of the Executive Committee, Mr. Hoang Huu He accepted the mission, launched and called all members to unite and strive to successfully implement the resolutions of the General Assembly.
