In accordance with Plan No. 166/KH-UBND dated March 26, 2026, issued by the Hue City People’s Committee on the organization of the 16th Hue City Technical Innovation Contest 2026,
On September 12, 2026, the Contest Organizing Committee held the evaluation and judging of 109 entries of seven competition fields at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

The Organizing Committee received 109 entries and established seven specialized judging panels, as follows:
- Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications: 15 entries;
- Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Construction and Transport: 12 entries;
- Materials, Chemicals and Energy: 6 entries;
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Natural Resources and Environment: 11 entries;
- Medicine and Pharmacy: 21 entries;
- Education and Training 1: 21 entries;
- Education and Training 2: 24 entries.
Among these, schools and educational institutions under the city-level education sector submitted 33 entries, accounting for 30.4%; Hue University and its member and affiliated institutions submitted 31 entries, accounting for 28.4%; enterprises submitted 18 entries, accounting for 16.5%; Hue Central Hospital submitted 16 entries, accounting for 14.7%; city-level departments and agencies submitted 6 entries, accounting for 5.5%; and production establishments, member associations affiliated with the Union of Science and Technology Associations, and individuals submitted 5 entries, accounting for 4.5%.
The Technical Innovation Contest is held annually to promote creativity and innovation in science and technology nationwide; encourage the application of scientific research findings and technical solutions in production and daily life; and contribute to socio-economic development and the industrialization and modernization of the country.
The Contest also aims to honor and recognize the contributions of scientists, researchers, workers, farmers, and innovators whose practical technical solutions and initiatives have been successfully applied in Hue City, generating significant socio-economic benefits.
The Contest encourages entries and solutions that contribute to developing a high-quality workforce and nurturing talent to meet the requirements of national development in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. It also aims to stimulate and attract scientists to engage in research and innovation, thereby affirming the role of scientists as a key driving force for breakthroughs and socio-economic development, contributing to the country’s rapid and sustainable advancement and prosperity in the new era, in line with the spirit of Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.
In addition, the Contest aims to select outstanding scientific works and technical solutions to participate in the 19th National Technical Innovation Contest (2026-2027) and the 2026 National Science and Technology Innovation Awards.
The Technical Innovation Contest has become a trusted platform for scientific innovators in Hue City. Over the years, the Contest has steadily strengthened its position and contributed to fostering a strong movement of scientific research, technological innovation, and creativity.

As a result, the Organizing Committee approved a list of 52 award-winning entries, including 6 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, 12 Third Prizes, and 24 Consolation Prizes (see the attached list for details).
The six First-Prize-winning entries are as follows:
- “Application of Artificial Intelligence Robots in Patient Reception, Guidance and Care at Hue Central Hospital”, by authors Pham Nhu Hiep, Huynh Phuc Minh, Duong Cong Phuoc, Ton That Minh Hieu, Van Phuoc Thanh, and Dinh Minh Chau – Hue Central Hospital;
- “Application of 3D Modeling and GIS in the Conservation of Hue Imperial Citadel Architecture in Association with Tourism Development”, by authors Vo Ngoc Duc, Pham Manh Hung, Nguyen Vu Thao Linh, and Pham Dang Nhat Thai – University of Sciences, Hue University;
- “Production and Application of Indigenous Probiotic Fermented Biological Products Based on Herbs of the Allium Family (Alliaceae) as an Alternative to Antibiotics in Chicken Farming”, by authors Phan Vu Hai, Pham Hoang Son Hung, Nguyen Xuan Hoa, Nguyen Dinh Thuy Khuong, Ho Thi Dung, Tran Thi Na, and Tran Ngoc Liem – University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University;
- “Application of an Immune-Modulation Approach to Managing ABO Blood Group Incompatibility in Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation for Patients with Severe Thalassemia at Hue Central Hospital”, by authors Pham Nhu Hiep, Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, Pham Huu Tri, and Bui Minh Duc – Hue Central Hospital;
- “A Model for Early Identification of the Need for Psychological and Educational Support for Non-Suicidal Self-Injury Behaviors in the Context of Social Media Addiction among High School Students in Hue City”, by authors Nguyen Huu Minh An, Ho Thi Minh Sang, Le Trieu Son, Le Tran Tuan Anh, Nguyen Van Tuy, and Nguyen Thi Kieu Khanh – Hai Ba Trung High School;
- “VietSpeak AI – A Multimodal Artificial Intelligence System for Supporting the Development and Assessment of Speaking and Listening Skills at the Primary School Level”, by authors Hoang Huu Phuoc, Tran Thi Quynh Nga, Nguyen Quoc Hien, Nguyen Thao Anh, Tran Thi Ngoc Chau, Nguyen Thi Tam Chi, and Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong – University of Education, Hue University.
The Organizing Committee is scheduled to hold the Closing and Award Ceremony at 8:00 p.m. on November 11, 2026, at Hall C, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.
