Objective(s): Produce Pseudomonas biological product. Build up a proccess of growing rooted black pepper treated with Pseudomonas biological product at nursery in order to prevent quick ilt disease of black pepper (Phytophthora capsici) and contribute sustainable black pepper prodution, improved yield and quality as well as protect environment. Creativeness and innovativeness: Using indegenous antagonistic bacteria P. putida to produce Pseudomonas biological product and using peat as the carier. Build up a proccess of growing stem cutting black pepper treated with Pseudomonas biological product in order to produce healthy stem cutting black pepper.
The experiments were conducted in Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Dak Nong. The treatments with Pseudomonas showed effect on disease incidence significantly lower than the control in the field. The Pseudomonas biological product had effect on the percentage of alive stem cuttings. Specifically, the treatment reached 95.34% while the control attained 83.33% after 90 days of growing. Treating the stem cuttings with Pseudomonas biological product also brought higher economic effect compared to the control and had the VCR 15.96 in the pilot model in Quang Tri. Effects, transfer alternatives of research results and applicability: Effec on controlling quick wilt disease of black pepper at nursery and in the field; Research centres and Universities can used the methods and research results as reference in teaching and researching; Transfer research results to farmers in areas growin black pepper in Central Vietnam and Highland.
