On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Conception Day between the three cities of Hanoi – Hue – Saigon, October 8, 1960 – October 8, 2020, with the consensus of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, at the hall the Provincial People’s Committee, the Union of Science and Technology Associations in coordination with the Provincial Science and History Association organized a scientific conference: “Hanoi – Hue – Saigon: The stream of national life – seen from the civilized cities”. (the Conference).
Attending the Conference were Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem – Former member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Party of the IXth term, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho – Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee, about 150 delegates from 03 cities. That were scientists, historical researchers, representatives of departments, departments and a large number of reporters of news agencies, newspapers….
The Conference had 29 presentations and 01 leading report focusing on 03 topics: 1. Hanoi – Hue – Saigon with national mission in historical process: 15 presentations. 2. Relations between Hanoi – Hue – Saigon in the historical process: 08 presentations. 3. The typical values of the three Cultural Cities Hanoi – Hue – Saigon: 06 presentations.
The Conference Organizing Committee has selected 07 presentation to be presented at hall, which are clear and typical presentations of 03 topics set out by the conference. The discussion part at the hall focused on 2 main topics: 1. Historical origins and relations of the three civilized cities Hanoi – Hue – Saigon before and after the Conception Ceremony on October 8, 1960. 2. Proposing solutions to support, develop the cooperation through research on traditional values and characteristics of the three cities Hanoi – Hue – Saigon.
The Conference is an opportunity for us to recognize and evaluate the friendship between the three big cities to express President Ho Chi Minh’s shining thought: “The country of Vietnam is one, the people of Vietnam are one. the body is shallow, the mountain can be worn out, but that truth never changes “; affirming the saying: “Hanoi – Hue – Saigon: Like a tree, like a child” … This is the foundation for the three cities to firmly step on the path of innovation, successfully implementing the industrial career. industrialization, modernization, construction and defense of the Socialist Vietnamese Fatherland is getting richer and richer.
