The contest 2017 – First Prize – Utilizing ultrasound frequency; peltier effect; nano filter; fresnel lens to convert seawater into freshwater

This project aims to design a new system that producing fresh water from sea water, with high water producing capacity, able to supply water for many people, being dependent from external factors, simple technology, moderate power consumption, easy to use, high usability, reasonable price and use can make one themselves.

This project aims to design a new system that producing fresh water from sea water, with high water producing capacity, able to supply water for many people, being dependent from external factors, simple technology, moderate power consumption, easy to use, high usability, reasonable price and use can make one themselves. Furthermore the diversity of the operating principle and design can be utilized to perform other functions.

The combination of a variety of mechanisms created by the authors bring superior performance and novelty to the system, including: creating filtering adsorptive nano particles from activated charcoal, husk, clay; separating water at nano particles level using sound wave vibrations; boost evaporation and washing with spraying heads; regulating temperature using Peltier mechanism and Fresnel lens; multilayer stainless steel tilted tray.
