Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University

On November 30, 2023, the Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Union of Scienceand Technology Associations (HUSTA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES), Kyoto University, Japan.

Prior to this, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Prof. Takeshi Katsumi, from the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, on November 13, 2023. Subsequently, the MoU was sent to HUSTA by postal mail.

The signing of this cooperation agreement represents an opportunity for collaboration between the two parties in joint training, exchange programs, research initiatives, and the sharing of information and experiences.

According to the agreement, both parties have agreed to collaborate in activities such as the exchange of scientific materials, publications, and information; of faculty members and researchers; of students; and Joint research and meetings for research.

The Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) at Kyoto University, Japan, was established in April 2002 to address urgent environmental issues of the 21st century and establish global environmental sustainability. The school boasts a diverse faculty consisting of experts from various disciplines and nationalities, including fields such as science and technology, agriculture, law, economics, and the humanities. The school has undertaken groundbreaking research initiatives, including interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with various local governments in Japan, as well as expanding international academic cooperation with universities and researchers in countries such as Vietnam, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Fiji, and France.
